The Actions Menu

(Radio Management Client)

The Radio Management Client's Actions Menu provides the necessary tools for adding, editing, deleting, organizing and general maintenance of codeplug / template records and values, that are stored within the RM Server database.

This menu is accessed by clicking the Actions Button from the four main views:

Certain selections are not available from all views.

New Radio

Alt+N

Allows you to add a new radio entry to the RM Server database: See Adding Radios.

Import è Excel

Ctrl+H

Allows you to Import radio codeplug data from a *.XLSX or *.XLS file format. Codeplug data that is exported from Radio Management (see "Export to file" in this table) can be modified in Microsoft's Excel program. See Importing Radios.

Import è CSV

Ctrl+H

Allows you to Import radio codeplug data from a *.csv (comma-separated values) file format. Codeplug data that is exported from Radio Management (see "Export to file" in this table) can be modified in Microsoft's Excel program and saved as a .csv file (using Excel's "Save As" command). See Importing Radios.

Import è Radios

Ctrl+I

Allows you to add a new radio entry to the RM Server database by importing a codeplug (.mc) file: See Importing Radios.

Export è Grid to file

Ctrl+Shift+S

Allows you to export Radio Management Client - Radio View - record / row data to a standard spreadsheet (*. XLXS, *.XLS, or *.CSV) format (see Exporting Data).

Export è Radio

Ctrl+Shift+R

Allows you to export the currently highlighted Radio Management Client - record / row to a codeplug file (.MC) format (see Exporting Data).

Export è DVRS

Ctrl+Shift+D

Allows you to export the currently highlighted Radio Management Client - record / row to a (.XML) file format (see Exporting Data).

Print è Print

Ctrl+P

Sends the currently viewed Radio Management Client Group of record / row data to the computer's printer (see Grouping Radios). Printed data may also be filtered by the Search feature.

This feature is only available from the Radio Management Client's Radio View.

Print è Print Preview

Alt+Shift+P

Allows you to see exactly how the current Radio Management Client - record / row data will look when it is printed. Data is printed based-on the currently selected Group (see Grouping Radios). Printed data may also be filtered by the Search feature.

This feature is only available from the Radio Management Client's Radio View.

Radio Details

Ctrl+W

Launches the Radio Details window for the currently-highlighted radio-codeplug record / row (see the Radio Details Window).

Edit Template

Ctrl+T

Launches the main CPS interface, where Template codeplug values can be viewed and edited (see Manage Templates).

Select Template

Ctrl+M

Launches the Select Template window where you may select a new Template to be applied to the currently-highlighted radio(s).

Discard Changes

Ctrl+L

Discards any recent changes made to the currently- highlighted radio record / row. This is true for all Template-related changes and non-template-related data. However a Group change is not restored (see Grouping Radios).

Any pending features added via FLASHport will be permanently lost. The FLASHkey has already been decremented and cannot be reversed. Pending features added via Radio Licensing can be recovered via Settings.

Reset Identifiers

Ctrl+Shift+I

Allows you to enter the Read / Write codeplug password that is needed when a radio's codeplug is password protected. Codeplug passwords are determined on a per codeplug basis from the CPS 's Read / Write Password feature.

This feature is only available from the Radio Management Client's Radio View, and only when the desired codeplug record / row is highlighted.

Help

Retrieves the Online Help System window.

Group è Add

Ctrl+Shift+G

Adds a new Group to the Radio Management Client (see Grouping Radios).

Group è Rename

Allows you to edit a Group's name (see Grouping Radios).

Group è Select Group

Ctrl+J

Allows you to assign a Group to a radio. (see Grouping Radios).

This feature is only available from the Radio Management Client's Radio View, and only when a desired codeplug record / row is highlighted.

Manage è Templates

Alt+T

Allows you to Edit templates, Delete templates, Rename templates, Upgrade Language Packs for templates, and Import templates (see Manage Templates).

Manage è Firmware

Alt+F

Allows you to view and Import all Firmware versions stored in the current RM Server (see Manage Firmware).

Manage è Voice Announcements

Alt+V

Allows you to view and Import all Voice Announcement files stored in the current RM Server (see Manage Voice Announcements).

Manage è Language Packs

Alt+L

Allows you to view and Import all Language Pack files stored in the current RM Server (see Manage Language Packs).

Manage è Licenses

Alt+R (Radio Licenses)

Alt+A (Application Licenses)

Allows you to:

Add Application Licenses (more radios to Radio Management)
Add Radio Licenses (FLASHcode Upgrades)
Manage Radio Licenses (FLASHcode Upgrades)

Delete

Del

Deletes the currently highlighted radio(s) from the Server database (see Delete Radios).

Settings

Alt+E

Launches the Radio Management Client to RM Server "Server Settings" Window for modifications: See Server Settings.

Refresh

Pressing the "F5" key on your keyboard causes the RM Server's data to be refreshed to the record / row data of the Radio Management Client's: Radio View, System View, Data View or Job View.
